Doug Taylor, age 81, of Dover, died, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born on March 22, 1945, in Morrilton to Odell and Leslie Geneva Pauline Lewis Taylor.
He attended the Journey Church and enjoyed woodworking and building birdhouses. He and his brother, Danny, owned and operated Taylor Brothers Construction Company for 42 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Charles Omen Taylor.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Jackie Taylor; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Andy Lindemann; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Carol Taylor; a sister and brother-in-law, Darla and Robert Casey; and two grandchildren, Adria (Evan) Collins and Aarin Lindemann.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Russellville First Assembly of God with Pastor Larry Pyle and Mr. Fred Teague officiating. Burial will be in North New Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home, and the family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
