Authorities say a friend went to check on Andrews and discovered him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency crews were dispatched around 2:22 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, to the area of 2334 State Highway 333, near Arkansas Nuclear One, following reports that a man had fallen approximately 15 feet from a tree stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Initial reports indicated Andrews was unconscious and having difficulty breathing. Dispatchers were later advised that he had no pulse, and Survival Flight was placed on standby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reaching the location proved difficult for emergency responders. Search and Rescue crews used side-by-sides to access the area, while Arkansas Nuclear One security also assisted with access to the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency medical personnel, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission officers and Pope County Sheriff&#8217;s Office personnel responded. The Pope County coroner was also called to the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investigators were considering whether Andrews may have suffered a medical emergency before the reported fall. However, authorities have not confirmed an exact cause of death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pope County Sheriff&#8217;s Office told River Valley Record that the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is handling the investigation.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>POPE COUNTY, Ark. \u2014 Authorities have identified the man who died Saturday afternoon following a reported fall from a tree stand near Highway 333 in Pope County.
