In the filing, the attorney states that Ruddell has identified himself as \u201cKing Brandon, King of Georgia,\u201d referencing Central Asia, and appears to genuinely believe the claim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The petition also states that Ruddell has expressed what the defense describes as \u201cdelusional positions\u201d about the facts of the case, including \u201cclearly unreasonable characterizations with regard to the alleged victims.\u201d According to the filing, these beliefs have hampered counsel\u2019s ability to discuss the case with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ruddell is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder in connection with the December shooting death of his father and the alleged shooting at his brother.
